Ken Hammond's 1956 Chevrolet Belair 2 Door Post

Still in construction as you can see by these shots. Ken was expecting the rest of the upholstery to be delivered after these shots were taken. Ken has outfitted the dash with Autometer gauges and is looking for the right spot for the tachometer.
Power is provided by a 454/425 crate motor. Gas in delivered by the 750 cfm Demon carburetor. The engine compartment looks super clean and the sounds coming from the engine when it is running suggest its potency. Spent gases are exhausted through some healthy Headman headers.
Car sits nicely on the American Racing 5 spokes (15" in the rear and 14" in the front). Front end has been lower further with 2" dropped spindles on the stock suspension. BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires 15x8 in the rear and 14x6 in front.
Trunk is fitted with electrical essentials and some really nice tunes. Fitted below the trunk floor is a new gas tank and an Aerospace electric fuel pump. Rear end is a 9" with 3.25 highway gears.
2 tone color combination came from a 2004 BMW: Alpine White over Steel Blue. Looks like a color Chevrolet should have used in '56.
